Hi California team!

Even as the daily news coverage dies down in LA (thankfully) the ICE raids haven’t and now Trump is promising to ramp up raids in Democratic cities like LA, NY and Chicago. So we need to stay the course of standing strong, staying together, and not losing faith.

Speaking of which, I recently went to an interfaith prayer vigil in Downtown LA and it was not only powerful, but deeply calming. I’m not religious —fortunately that’s not required to attend.

Please consider joining a large coalition of Los Angeles-based groups, including LA Voice, on Wednesday June 18 at 6PM for a Prayer Walk for Family Unity.

Next, please join We Are California for a virtual teach-in on Tuesday, June 24 from 6:30–8:30 PM

This virtual session will prepare us for the road ahead by training-up on who’s pulling the strings behind the scenes and how we take action together:

• Know Your Rights info – how to spread power not panic

• Expose the real villains – the billionaires and bullies profiting off our people and future

• A plan for nonviolent resistance to keep ICE out of our communities and to push back on the MAGA murder budget
